Corona is located in Riverside County and formerly called South Riverside. The city was renamed for Grand Boulevard, a 3 mile circular drive that is around the central city. Corona is advantageously situated along the Riverside Freeway (I-91) and is often referred to as the Gateway to the Inland Empire.

Prior to the 1980’s, the city was known for its citrus orchard ranches and many dairy farms. The area has now become a bedroom community for Orange County and Los Angeles County. Higher real estate prices in surrounding areas led many developers to this town once titled “Lemon Capital of the World.”
